Having bonded these blocks once and seen them fail, councillors were taking no chances second time around. So the blocks were bedded using Ronascreed Mortar.

 

Ronascreed Mortar is very fast reacting and gains strength quickly. Within 12 hours the blocks were securely bonded to the concrete beneath and buses and cars were once again driving on the roads.

 

Years later and they are still firmly bonded.
