Ronafix watertight render seals special needs pool

 

Swimming Pool Contractor Hydrospec installed a new Hydrotherapy Pool at Amwell View School in Stansted Abbotts, Essex. As with all pools it was essential that the structure was waterproof to stop the treated and heated water leaking into the main building.

 

The pool was to provide a place for relaxation and therapy for the special needs children that attend the school.

 

Application

To provide the waterproof and watertight render two coats of Ronafix render mix E were applied to the swimming pool walls in 6mm layers.  A Ronafix screed was also applied to the floor of the pool as well as pool surrounds to provide a sound, water resistant surface for the tiles to be laid.  To ensure the general swimming pool area was waterproof Ronafix mix A was applied to the walls that surround the pool.

 

Ronafix is the product of choice for Hydrospec and of contractors specialist and general throughout the industry because of its reliability in use.  Hydrospec have tried alternative products in the past but have found that they quickly become more expensive when problems occur.  Ronafix is backed by four British Board of Agrément Certificates, two of which are for rendering and screeding.
