Ronacrete’s RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing was recently specified as a surface finish for pathways at a park in Bury, Greater Manchester. The pathways needed to be slip resistant in all weathers with an attractive surface that compliments the overall design.
RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing is a hardwearing, natural aggregate surfacing system that offers excellent slip-resistance for pedestrians and is very capable of withstanding the park’s regular traffic.
Application
Self-priming RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing resin was applied by roller to the pathways. Chinese Bauxite was then cast on to the rapid curing resin and left for two hours. The paths were then swept and ready for immediate use. The natural pathways blend in with the beautiful surroundings forming a safe, stable and attractive surface.
The resin bonded aggregate surface was selected against other surface systems because of its appearance, wear resistance and speed of installation. It also complies with DDA regulations and provided a suitable surface for wheelchairs.
