Manhole bedding
Mortars used to seat and bed manhole cover frames, or personnel access chambers as the politically correct would have them described, must similarly be durable to avoid costly road closures and traffic delays.
Used in the same way as conventional cement sand mortars, RonaRoad Manhole Mortar and Concrete are however fast set mortars. Within just 1 hour of mixing they are ready for traffic, they meet the compressive strength demands set by the Highways Department and can be used at sub zero temperatures down to -10 degrees Centigrade.
RonaRoad Mortar is used underneath the manhole frame to level and support it, RonaRoad Manhole Concrete is used around the perimeter of the frame as a haunching concrete to stabilise the frame and provide a wearing surface for traffic.
Both products are zero VOC, providing an environmentally friendly “green” solution to this everyday requirement.
